November 09, 2003

Den Haag, Heerlen, Hollandsche Rading, Nijmegen, Venlo, Turnhout-Belgium, Assen and three final Dutch shows to be held in Maastricht, Amsterdam and Den Bosch and then I was off to Australia. It will be two days of air travel to reach my final desitination of Brisbane.

First stop, Amen, Jordan, just east of Jeruselum. I spent 7 hours in a dirty little airport, chatting up Jordanian Immigration officers while watching the highly anticipated football match between Lebanon and Jordan. Final score: Jorden 2 Lebanon 1

I bought my way onto a computer with the help of an airport janitor who aparently, "could get me what I wanted." The secret payoff happened with a handshake and a nod.

Second stop, Bangkok, Thailand.

I wandered through the muggy backstreets of Bangkok, resting occasionally for street cooked thai food and beers. The humidity was unbearable and after a few hours I gave my Blunny's to a local corner beggar and bought myself some sandles. Also sweating in my traditional Canadian flannel, I eventually traded it in for a light threaded blouse.

Ten hours and I'd had enough of the heat. I hired a Tok Tok and was swept off to the plane station. SLY
